Bastille Pastry

Nicolas launched his vegan pastry shop in Belgium in 2021, after training as a pastry chef and fully embracing a plant-based lifestyle. The first years were tough, but a bold move on social media revived his business and sales took off again. When we connected in spring 2024, he was ready to give his brand the identity it deserved : one that matched the excellence of his creations.

  • The mission was to modernize Bastille, moving away from a playful, childlike image into something refined, premium, and irresistibly yummy. The identity needed to reflect Nicolas’s ethical values without being defined only by veganism : positioning his pastries as gourmet creations for vegans, the lactose-intolerant, and anyone seeking high-quality, locally sourced indulgence!

  • I built a warm, sophisticated palette of rich browns and terracotta to echo the depth of his flavors. The refined, modern aesthetic is elevated with a subtle twist in the “B” shaped like a leaf, hinting at the plant-based ethos while keeping the brand elegant, refined and memorable.
